About Us

TestSmartRx began as an idea of Dr. Brian Murray in 2005. The challenge, as he saw it, was to bring about a paradigm shift in the American Medical Model. The model as it existed then, and largely still exists today, is one designed to treat symptoms while doing very little to prevent disease. Simply put, this seemed to be at a conflict in Dr. Murray.

The idea was to teach prevention and capitalize on such a shift in thinking. While the professional medical establishment was not entirely eager to embrace such a cultural change in approach to patients, the patients themselves have proven to be a driving force to bring about such a switch. With the ever increasing population of seniors or “baby-boomers” who are choosing to stay fit, active, healthy, and understand the high cost of becoming ill, there is eager acceptance of products and services that will aid them in their quest for higher quality of life in their golden years.

What is the value of staying physically fit; however, if cognitively we decline prematurely? One of the most devastating potential diseases facing our growing senior population is Alzheimer’s. This horrible disease is like a thief that violates the home of our soul and robs the belongings of the mind. The memories are stolen like irreplaceable keepsakes and the thought of such an impending thief is highly motivational to secure prevention. There is no greater prevention than early detection of Mild Cognitive Impairments, and there is no greater detection method than those used by TestSmartRx.

These Mild Cognitive Impairments or MCI are caused by a wide variety of life circumstances and the awareness of their existence is incredibly useful. Head trauma such as a mild concussion can effect cognitions, and have long term implications. Depression, diabetes, pain, sleep issues, and many other disease classifications impact cognitions. Just as diet and exercise can effect our blood pressure and high blood pressure is known as “the silent killer,” MCI can exist in a person and be wreaking havoc to the future of that individual virtually unknown.

In 2011, after several years in private practice working with victims of head trauma, depression, and sleep deprivation, Dr. Murray and his team launched TestSmartRx. Through a system of computer administered tests that are much like playing a video game, TestSmartRx is able to detect the slightest of impairments in memory/thinking functions. This revolutionary program has been widely accepted and physicians have rapidly integrated this tool set into their practices. The insight gained into the function of their patients enhances the quality of care and is unprecedented and unparalleled by anything else on the market.

Rapidly, TestSmartRx has spread and along with the revolutionary testing has come behavioral counseling services, nutritional counseling, and a myriad of other services that are made available in the doctors’ offices and via telemedicine. It is the vision of TestSmartRx to become as common a service in the doctors’ offices as blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements. The professional medical establishment has long measured all these other systems and routinely completely ignored the brain. The impact of such inability to conveniently measure the functions of the brain are self evident, and no longer is the doctor or the patient without options.

If your doctor doesn’t have our system in their office, have them view this website, watch the informative video, and call TestSmartRx today.

A memory is a terrible thing to waste. . . so don’t.
